About Dr. Roberts
Carol L. Roberts, M.D., ABO, ABIHM
Dr. Roberts graduated from Harvard University, the University of Texas Medical School, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, specializing in Otolaryngology and Emergency Medicine. She practiced these specialties for eighteen years. During that time she practiced and taught the principles of healthy living. She is Board certified in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, and is a founding diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine.
Since 1994, she has devoted her career to the integration of conventional medicine with natural and holistic healing. Dr. Roberts feels it is important for a doctor to be a mentor, educator and a role model to her patients. She provides nutritional counseling, natural hormone replacement, detoxification, and treatment of chronic illness. She provides patients holistic medical weight loss through a program called “Lighten Up”. Dr. Roberts teaches comprehensive lifestyle change courses “An Apple a Day” and “Beyond the Black Bag” on cruises and on land. Her book is called Good Medicine: A Return to Common Sense.
With her extensive experience in both conventional and holistic medicine, Dr. Carol Roberts is a sought after national speaker. Dr. Roberts has a dual appointment to the faculty of the College of Public Health and the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
